Hot stone massage is the ancient practice of heating Basalt, (volcanic) stones and placing them on various areas of the body during a massage. They can either be left on tense spots or used by hand to aid in heating and relaxing sore muscles, the additional cold stones are also used to help reduce inflammation. The practice began among the Hindus in India  approximately 5,000 years ago and was called Ayurveda. This fully accredited Hot Stone course will teach you everything you need to know about offering a professional Hot Stone Massage. This 1 day course follows the National Occupational Standards. It also covers  anatomy and physiology,                          contra-indications and contra-actions, preparing for treatment, massage techniques and a full body massage routine with completion of the theory online modules, and professional full body massage Hot Stone treatment, a full training manual from The Guild and illustrated diagrams from  Buddha Therapies Academy

N.B Students require a full Body Massage Qualification prior this course.
